Max’s Restaurant in Glendale, Los Angeles, offers a delightful dining experience with its blend of excellent service and charming ambiance. From the moment you walk in, the accommodating servers make you feel welcome and attended to, providing friendly and efficient service that enhances the overall dining experience. The design of the restaurant is reminiscent of a cozy cabin, with exquisite attention to detail that creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. The wooden interiors and tasteful decor give it a rustic yet elegant feel, making it a perfect setting for both casual meals and special occasions. The menu at Max’s is a celebration of Filipino cuisine, featuring a variety of classic dishes. The crispy pata and chicken inasal are standout favorites, known for their flavorful and authentic preparation. I’ve been coming here for years and it’s still the best Filipino restaurant I’ve been too. It’s an excellent sit down with your whole family restaurant. We ordered the fried chicken(best in the world), kare kare(delicious with a side of bagoong), Bangus Sisig(rather than pork I recommend this & it’s really good) & Halo Halo(the best dessert to have to cap off a full Filipino dinner experience). Their new crispy sisig is good, they just added chicharon to make it crispy. Their adobo ribs were descent but chicken adobo will be their best. Parking is very limited during Saturday’s and Sundays after church. I recommend during the weekdays when it’s less crowded. Also walking distance from the Glendale Galleria.

This place is known for their Max's Fried Chicken it their classic Sarap-to-the-Bones Fried Chicken made with a unique blend of spices and golden fried to perfection. They suggest to dip it in its trademark blend of banana ketchup, hot sauce, and Worcestershire sauce and their not kidding it taste great with the mixture. It give you a sweet and spicy clover to the chicken. The ski was nice and crispy and the chicken was juicy and tender inside. It was really fried to perfection. I got their whole chicken and it was enough to fill me up. I also got their Calamansi juice, which is like a sweet lime juice drink, nice and refreshing. Highly recommend the chicken

Really good food, pretty authentic Filipino cuisine. We had the crispy fried chicken which they are known for and it was pretty awesome. Lechon kiwali which also was very good, as was the garlic fried rice. The fried chicken was really crispy and juicy at the same time and without the batter coating that is normally associated with fried chicken. Just super crispy chicken skin and it was really good. The lechon was really crispy also and the fat was rendered just right so as to make it melt in your mouth. The garlic fried rice was really good with the other two dishes and all in all a great meal. We will definitely be back for more and would definitely recommend it highly.

A Taste of Home: Max’s Restaurant Shines in Glendale! I'm thrilled to share my exceptional dining experience at Max of Manila in Glendale, where the authentic flavors of the Philippines shone brightly! This hidden gem is a must-visit for foodies and anyone craving a taste of homegrown Filipino cuisine. From the moment we walked in, the attentive and courteous waiters made us feel welcome. Despite being packed on a Saturday lunchtime, the waiting time was reasonable, and the staff ensured our needs were met throughout our meal. Now, onto the piece de resistance – the food! Max of Manila's menu boasts an array of mouth-watering dishes that will transport your taste buds to the streets of Manila. We indulged in some of their signature dishes, and each one exceeded our expectations. The crispy fried chicken, a crowd favorite, was cooked to perfection – juicy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The taro leaves, or "laing," were expertly prepared, showcasing the rich, earthy flavors of this authentic Filipino dish. The nilagang baka (beef soup) was a comforting, slow-cooked masterpiece that warmed our hearts and bellies. And the pork sisig? Absolutely divine! What truly elevated our dining experience was the personal touch from Master Chef Tobal, who graciously visited our table to ensure everything met our expectations. His passion for Filipino cuisine and dedication to excellence shone through in every dish. In short, Max of Manila is a culinary gem that will leave you craving for more. If you're a fan of Filipino food or just looking to try something new, do yourself a favor and visit Max of Manila. Your taste buds will thank you! Pro tip: Be prepared for a lively atmosphere, especially on weekends. But trust us, the food and service are well worth the visit!

Terrific service, wonderful food, attractive looking location. Traffic and parking are a bit tricky since it's right near the mall, but it isnt too bad. We split all the food amongst our group. We first ordered the calamari as an appetizer; portion was a bit too small for the price, but everyone enjoyed it. Then we ordered chicken adobo, chicken sisig, crispy pata, fried chicken, and pancit palabok. The fried chicken was amazing! The sisig, cripy pata, and pancit were also delicious - i didnt hear any complaints! One person in our group did not care for the adobo. We think our homemade is a little better. Also, a couple people thought the portion size of the sisig a bit too small for the price. But otherwise the portion sizes were good. To drink, among other things they have Red Horse beer - yay! But i ordered calamansi juice instead. Very refreshing. We had halo-halo for dessert. Their halo-halo is large, two people could split one. Very tasty; one of the better ones ive tried. They used to have karaoke here, but sadly not any longer. We arrived around 6:00 and didnt have to wait long for a table. This was my first time here, and we had a lot of fun. Hopefully i'll be able to come back before long!

Max’s has superb fried chicken with crispy skin. The Pancet is excellent. This is authentic food with a distinct Asian flavor that a true lover of the Philippines can identify.

It’s been almost 20 years since the last time I ate at Max’ restaurant. It had a nostalgic taste. The fried chicken was as tender and tasty as i remembered. Don’t forget to try out their assortment of desserts. Ample parking space but make sure to add yourself on the Waitlist especially on weekends.
